Today’s Meeting

March 21, 2017 :23: More Kodi, and San Carlos Issues

March 21st, 2017 by

Hi Clubbers,

I am working hard to get these out as quickly as I can. Today was another great meeting with lots of people. We covered a lot of stuff. Some of our topics included:

  • Problems with internet
  • IPTV, Kodi, and SamsungTV’s IPTV app
  • Jim’s Solar Update
  • Amazon Prime in Mexico

Well that wasn’t everything. For everything you’ll need to listen (or Watch) this week’s Clubcast.

Hope you enjoy it, and I’ll talked to you next week.

Yes People!

I am finally a convert. This Kodi software is something pretty amazing and I said as much in last Tuesday’s meeting. If you couldn’t join us, then here is the audio recording from that meeting.

I don’t have much to add, but #techOn! and I’ll see you tomorrow at Tequila’s.

February 14, 2017 :19: The non-Podcast Clubcast

February 20th, 2017 by

Hi Clubbers,

We had an AWESOME meeting last Tuesday, and that makes this post so much more disappointing. The audio recording of our meeting has been lost. Both the audio recording; the audio stream/podcast, as well as, the video/audio stream; both failed to record during the last meeting. I do have the video, but, really?,… what’s the point? It’s an hour and half of us sitting around the table not saying anything.

Regardless of the recordings failing, we had an awesome talk about smart TVs and set-top boxes that are monitoring/tracking your behavior. The topic spawned from an article I read from the Verge (http://www.theverge.com/2017/2/7/14527360/vizio-smart-tv-tracking-settlement-disable-settings). There article layouts the troubles that Vizio has gotten into and details of other TV manufactures. It also has links to “how-tos” for disabling tracking based on your manufacturer.

Hopefully, you’ll find that infomration helpful.

Thanks for checking back, and we’ll get it right tomorrow.

February 07, 2017 :18: The Alaskans Are Back! and Android TV/Kodi Boxes

February 14th, 2017 by

Hi Clubbers,

This is another late one getting out of the feed. Sorry about that. I’ve had buddies from my ‘Alaskan past’ visiting, and I’ve had so much fun that I didn’t get a chance to publish our meeting from last Tuesday until today. I hope everyone is still interested even though it’s a week old. In this meeting we talked alot about watching the Superbowl on-line, and Kodi dedicated Android TV boxes.

I hope you guys enjoy it.

Thanks for listening, and #TechOn!
